Delivery, Connection and Exchange

Question: Delivery, Connection and Exchange

Home Delivery Only

This is a delivery only service. Our teams will deliver the goods to a room of the customer’s choice, inspect for any damages and remove all packaging.

  • No connection will take place. The customer or retailer will have connection arranged. Any fault relating to connection will be the responsibility of the customer or retailer. Costs incurred from calls to put right an appliance which is improperly installed will be the responsibility of the customer or retailer (whomever is responsible for connection).

Home Delivery and Connection

Smeg UK will take responsibility for delivery and connection on notification from the retailer that the customer has requested and paid for our home delivery and connection service (subject to any promotional offers). 1. Water Supply - should already be available and in the range of the inlet pipe supplied with the appliance
  2. Power Supply - should be already available and be in range of the cable supplied with the appliance (2 metres)
  3. Old appliance – should be disconnected and ready for removal unless special arrangements agreed (i.e. promotion for instance) - order will have confirmation as to whether the old appliance is to be removed
  4. Gas connections - can only be completed if pipe work meets current gas regulation standards and there are no obstructions in was is deemed as the "hot zone" diagram below.

All home deliveries and connection will be subject to a pre-survey. In the event that the survey information does not match the customer’s actual property specifications, Smeg reserves the right to abort the connection until such time as recommended changes have been completed.
