DOWNDRAFT HOODS - CONCEALED ELEGANCE

01/05/2019

Extractor fans are a necessity in the kitchen, designed to remove vapors, grease and odours when cooking on the hob. They do however take up a large amount of wall space and can overpower a kitchen depending on the design, which is why a Downdraft hood is worth considering.
Smeg downdraft hoods can be neatly installed under the worktop either behind or to the side of a Smeg hob, leaving a clear view of the kitchen. With a simple touch of the control panel, the motorised hood slowly rises from the worktop ready to be used. The low energy consumption LED lighting strip on the hood beautifully illuminates the hob below and provides ambient lighting within the kitchen whilst the combination of its powerful motor, perimeter extraction and 4 speeds, brilliantly removes fumes and odours with ease. An intensive speed is also available for when high powered, rapid extraction is needed. When cooking is finished, the hood slides down discreetly back into the worktop at the touch of a button, creating a spacious environment in the kitchen as the hood is virtually hidden away from view.

Downdraft extractors can be installed anywhere in the kitchen, but they are ideal for situating into an island unit. They are extremely efficient with a rating of A for energy efficiency and are also virtually silent due to their installation underneath the worktop.
Smeg downdraft hoods are available in the elegant Dolce Stil Novo aesthetic (KSDD90VN-2) with a width of 90cm or universal designs are available in 90cm (KDD90VXNE/KDD90VXSE/KDD90VXBE) or 60cm (KDD60VXE-2) widths.
Whether you have low ceilings, a kitchen where wall space is precious or just prefer a clutter free environment, Smeg downdraft hoods make a great addition to any home.
