Seven wins for Smeg at the Good Design Awards 2017!

Smeg’s design excellence has once again been cemented at the Good Design Awards 2017 in Chicago, Illinois. The iconic Italian appliance brand picked up not one but seven accolades at the prestigious and internationally-recognised design event for both its small and major domestic appliances. Placing good design at the heart of the company's plans.

At the end of 2017, Smeg was awarded seven of the coveted prizes for the following products: Dolce Stil Novo Blast Chiller, 60cm Linea oven, 45cm Linea oven, 90cm Opera range cooker, HBF02 Hand Blender, CJF01 Citrus Juicer and ECF01 Coffee Machine. Each versatile appliance was recognised for its beautifully thought out design by an international jury of architects, designers and creative directors.

The Good Design Awards are organised annually by The Chicago Athenaum Museum of Architecture and Design in co-operation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. Founded in 1950, the programme highlights the pinnacle of new consumer products, graphics and packaging designed and manufactured in Europe, Asia, Africa, plus North and South America.

The seven award wins caps off a landmark year for Smeg following the release of its second collection of appliances with Dolce & Gabbana and the launch of three-story London flagship store located on Regent Street St James’s.
