Smeg’s exciting new SF341GVX built-in gas fan oven is due to be launched in the UK in April 2012.
Cooking in a gas fan oven is very efficient, combining the benefits of modern technology and traditional methods for a consistent, controllable oven temperature.
The new oven features a continental gas burner which is situated centrally from front to back in the base of the oven and has a generous cavity size of 70 litres gross or 60 litres net with four shelf positions.

The SF341GVX oven has 8 functions including an innovative ‘Circogas’ function. The heat from the gas jets is distributed evenly throughout the oven cavity by a fan, ensuring a consistent and uniform heat. This system also helps to reduce the pre-heat time, all of which contribute to an excellent and efficient cooking performance.
The new oven also has an integral electric grill which can either be used to brown the top of already cooked dishes or as a stand alone grill. It can also be combined with the fan function to cook thicker chops or steaks. Alternatively, it can be combined with the rotisserie, either with or without the fan in operation.

For peace of mind there is a triple safety system. Firstly, this automatically cuts the gas off in the event of the flame being accidently extinguished. Secondly, the oven can onlybe ignited when the door is open and thirdly the electric grill can only function when the gas is off. The oven can also be adapted for use with LPG and comes in finger friendly stainless steel.
