Smeg were delighted to attend the recent KBB trade show at the NEC, specialising in all things kitchens. The bi-annual show, the largest of its kind, was the venue for our fresh new look stand for 2018!

16,000+ industry professionals attended the show including independent kitchen specialists, design studios, architects & interior designers, installers, house builders and developers.

Smeg’s brand new open plan stand inspired by the contemporary London flagship store fit out. A huge range of 150 products were showcased on the near 200 square metre stand- including many new models from across the Smeg collection – particularly innovative new built-in ranges.

Integral to the heart of the stand included our purpose-built cook theatre, hosted by Smeg’s very own home economist, alongside guest chefs joining demonstrating new appliance features to their very best.

During the show, members of our sales and marketing team were on hand to assist with in depth product tours and meeting many new, existing and prospective customers. Set in carefully curated roomsets, many new products were unveiled at the show for the first time including our exciting newly redesigned Linea range which included products such as 60cm steam assist ovens, innovative new aesthetic finishes, alongside connected prototype products from Smeg’s soon to launch SmegConnect, smart Wi-Fi enabled product range.

Another huge highlight was Smeg’s most premium built in collection, Dolce Stil Novo, which debuted its retractable handless 60cm and 45cm ovens, perfect for a flush contemporary kitchen. An innovative technology patented by Smeg.

Also shown for the first time was our new 90cm Classic oven featuring triple fan and pyrolytic self-cleaning, a unique size and proposition in the market. Other highlights to match the copper trim Dolce Stil Novo was Smeg’s newest PVD copper sink and tap combination – very on trend.

Smeg was also represented on several of our customers' stands at the show including major distributor, Häfele, who set up a Smeg Café inside the show serving hot and cold drinks from a collection of Smeg appliances.

Masterclass, a beautiful kitchen and cabinet maker also took over their entire kitchen lifestyle displays with Smeg’s stunning Opera range cooker, splashback and hood in black, alongside a wide selection of Dolce Stil Novo built-in models. Other stands featuring beautiful Smeg product included Nobilia with a stunning Victoria built-in display, also in black, in one of their newest kitchen collections, whilst Bauformat proudly displaying the Victoria TR90 range cooker.

Many Smeg customers also styled their stands with iconic Smeg 50’s style small appliances including popular distributor, JPD distribution.

At the show we were joined by master chocolatier, patisserie chef & Great British Bake-Off Crème de la Crème Winner 2016, Mark Tilling, who delivered several fun and interactive live demonstrations. Mark baked a variety of focaccia, bloomers, rye, a series of gateaux’s, chocolate and macaroons alongside revealing his amazing surprise chocolate showstopper – a stand mixer made entirely from chocolate! We were also joined by social media cheesecake duo Joe and Brendon from Pleesecakes. Following their rapid growth thanks to beautifully crafted bespoke cheesecakes, famed by the likes of Joe Wicks Body Coach, amongst many other celebrity patrons and customers. Both Mark and Pleesecakes brought great attention to the stand and an exciting atmosphere which was great to see! The entire smeg stand and latest launches were very well received & enjoyed by all that visited.
