A look behind the scenes at the London store event

Last week, Smeg revealed its latest collaboration with luxury fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana: Blu Mediterraneo with a launch event at the flagship London store. Debuted in Milan, this was the first time the collection had been shown in the UK.

This exclusive collaboration spans Smeg's kettle, 2 slice toaster, citrus juicer, espresso coffee machine, coffee grinder, and milk frother, all adorned with the exquisite Mediterranean-inspired artwork born from this creative partnership.

The window display featured key pieces from the Blu Mediterraneo range; the kettle, toaster, and FAB5 mini fridge which rested proudly upon adorned pillars with a Dolce & Gabbana backdrop creating a captivating scene for passersby to admire.

THE EVENT: A TASTE OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

During the breakfast event members of the press were taken on an immersive journey through the region of Sicily.
The countertop was elegantly decorated in a Sicilian style, with the aroma of freshly baked pastries, a tantalising array of fruits and plants, and stunning crockery. The new small appliances stood proudly amidst the display, attracting an abundance of attention, as guests admired the individual maiolica print that each appliance is adorned with.

DEMONSTRATIONS: A TASTE OF ITALY

Our team of expert home economists conducted captivating demonstrations, unveiling the culinary magic of the appliances. This allowed our guests to master the art of citrus juicing and barista style coffee.

The combination of the demonstrations and the overall aesthetic of the event transformed it into the perfect canvas for our attendees to curate an abundance of social media-worthy content.
