Crisp Garden Coleslaw

Made with the Smeg Stand Mixer & Slicing Attachment 

A fresh, vibrant coleslaw combining finely sliced vegetables with a creamy, lightly tangy dressing. Using the Smeg stand mixer with the slicing attachment ensures beautifully even, delicate shreds- giving a professional finish with minimal effort. 

Ingredients

  • ½ white cabbage, trimmed  

  • 2 carrots, peeled  

  • ½ small onion (optional)  

For the dressing: 

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise  

  • 1 tbsp Dijon or English mustard  

  • 1 tbsp white wine or cider vinegar  

  • 1 tsp sugar  

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper  

Optional additions: 

  • Fresh herbs (parsley or chives)  

  • A squeeze of lemon juice  

Serves 

  • 4–6 

Method

1. Fit the slicing/shredding attachment to your Smeg stand mixer. Feed the cabbage, carrots and onion through the attachment to create fine, even shreds. Transfer to a large bowl. 

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar and sugar. Season well with salt and pepper. 

Adjust with a little lemon juice if you prefer a fresher, sharper finish.
