Smeg UK launch revolutionary new Galileo oven platform

Earlier this year, Smeg held two exciting launch events for both trade customers and the media to unveil a new oven platform capable of revolutionising the way we cook, the Galileo oven range
The first event, hosted at Smeg's UK headquarters, saw Smeg invite its trade network into an immersive pop up explaining the depth of Smeg's history, heritage and close connection with design, food and technology,

THE ABINGDON EVENT

Guests were warmly welcomed into Smeg's impressive atrium, transformed from its usual gallery style into an Italian ‘Piazza’.

Designed to mirror a typical Italian square, guests enjoyed Italian espressos from our team of baristas, before setting off on the journey through Smeg's rich heritage.

Travelling through the cornerstones of Smeg, namely design excellence, a passion for the very best food and ingredients, a robust approach to sustainability, plus our commitment to innovation.

The big reveal

After the winding tour, guests took their seats in anticipation of what might follow.

At the end of the presentation, in dramatic style, the curtain pulled back to a light show, revealing Galileo in all its glory, for the first time in the world.

Cooking demonstration by Theo Randall

Guests were then invited to see the ovens up close, followed by a cooking masterclass from Michelin chef Theo Randall. Theo was hugely complimentary of the technology and the 'game changing' cooking results delivered.

Theo, joined by our home economists, spent time showing just how easy it is to cook and bake with Guinea Fowl top of the menu.

THE LONDON STORE EVENT

Setting the tone of the second part of our Galileo launch, journalists arrived at our Flagship London Store to be met with an Aperol spritz and delicious canapes before making their way down to our cooking theatre auditorium.

Following the exciting reveal, our UK media contacts we're treated to part two of the feast, rustled up by Theo once more!
