A venue surrounded by greenery
The company headquarters was designed by architect Guido Canali, who received an Honourable Mention in the Gold Medal for Italian Architecture award from the Milan Triennale in 2006. The 13th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale 2012 is hosting this project in the Italian Pavilion as an architectural example of Made in Italy excellence for a structure that is attentive to the poetics of the territory, people's lives and environmental sustainability.

Smeg received the Domotics Award in 2007 for its headquarters, which was declared one of the most innovative in Italy for its intelligent management of consumption and example of sustainable development, and in 2008 the Daedalus and Minos Prize for Architecture. The Smeg headquarters reinterprets the old rural courtyards of the lower Po Valley in a modern key, testifying to the attention paid to respect for the territory in which it is located.
