WHAT IS TRITAN™ RENEW ?

Tritan Renew material contains 50% certified recycled content * and is made using innovative molecular recycling, which recycles difficult-to-recycle plastic waste to create new materials.

Tritan Renew is made using a different type of recycling, molecular recycling, which uses waste plastic as raw material instead of fossil-based resources. This technology breaks down difficult-to-recycle plastic waste into its basic building blocks, allowing for the creation of new, pristine materials.

By replacing traditional fossil-based resources with recycled content, plastic waste is diverted from landfills while reducing greenhouse gas emissions over time.

Tritan Renew offers the same performance, quality, and safety that Smeg is known for, but is made with more environmentally friendly materials.

Smeg has achieved ISCC Plus Certification, which ensures transparency throughout the molecular recycling and manufacturing process. The ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is a globally recognized certification system for environmentally friendly materials. This certification verifies the traceability of recycled materials using mass balance accounting principles and ensures that high sustainability standards are met.
