The annual Designer Kitchen and Bathroom awards is always a highlight of the year in the world of interior design. It is a great opportunity to celebrate all the latest developments, new trends and cutting edge innovations that have occurred in kitchens and bathrooms over the past year. This year’s awards ceremony, held in the fabulous ‘Supernova’ pop-up restaurant in Central London, was just as big of a success as always, and saw all the industry’s biggest and best come together.

Smeg’s first award of the day was in the category for Innovation & Design - Kitchen products. The DOSP38X “classic” double pyrolytic oven was given the award, showing just how that timeless design and contemporary technology can’t go unnoticed. The double oven, with ‘A’ energy rating, and sleek stainless steel aesthetics, is rapidly becoming a staple of the range, so Smeg were delighted that it got the recognition it deserved.rds started with a champagne reception, followed by a beautiful three course meal. After the plates has been cleared, Georgie Thompson, most famous for her F1 coverage, took to the stage and the awards presentation began.  Smeg were absolutely thrilled to be awarded two prestigious ‘Gold’ awards, fighting off strong competition from a range of top manufacturers.

Secondly, the Innovation in Technology award was given to the DF4SS stainless steel dishwasher. With its patented wash system, this model is yet another appliance that Smeg is extremely proud of thanks to its patented innovative wash system - singled out by industry experts.
