The 17th and 18th of April saw appliance retailers flock to the NEC in Birmingham for the Euronics Showcase. The Smeg stand was packed with nearly 100 products on display and a little extra entertainment provided by the wonderful Meringue Girls. The girls, Alex Hoffler and Stacey O’Gorman create beautiful, multi-coloured meringues in their London bakery. Using natural ingredients and plenty of creative sparkle, the girls adorned the counter top with colourful treats fresh from the stand mixer and oven.

The girls have been fans of our gorgeous pastel appliances for a while and were all too pleased to show off their skills at the Euronics Showcase. Wowing passers-by with their baking skills, the stand mixers were in action all day, whisking, beating and mixing up gorgeous treats for all. Their signature multi-coloured “meringue kisses” proved every popular as did the shortbread bites dusted with dried raspberry powder. We’re still salivating at the memories.

With irresistible treats on offer, the stand had a steady flow of visitors with plenty of interest in Smeg’s growing range. Our wonderful team of Sales staff did a great job, providing all the information and smiles anyone could need. To top off a great show, the stand was presented with a special award to recognise the effort and creativity put into the stand. A lovely sentiment warmly welcomed by all involved with the show. The only thing is, how make it better next year? There’s not much that can top free meringue kisses!
