To celebrate Smeg’s 70th, Mickey’s 90th and the London Flagship’s store 1st anniversary, Smeg hosted an exciting party in its London Flagship store. With three special occasions to celebrate, a party was a must!

Joined by Disney team, alongside a wide range of influencers and journalists, the disneyxsmeg collaboration was the centre of attention in the London store. As guests arrived, the tension was building to the moment of reveal of the new limited-edition collaborative appliance. Born from a celebration of two creative brands which at the core, strive in bringing family together.

To mark nine decades since the first debut of Mickey Mouse, Smeg’s iconic FAB28 fridge has been brought to life by an original drawing of Disney’s most iconic character. Aesthetically speaking, the FAB28 is Smeg’s most widely recognised design. Immediately identified thanks to its soft curves and 50’s inspired design. The perfect Smeg refrigerator to compliment fun loving Mickey.

A speech given by Mike Giddings, Managing Director, reminisced over the 70 years of Smeg and introduced the true collector’s item. The limited-edition Mickey Mouse FAB28 fridge reveal was a roaring success, with gasps, laughter and a huge round of applause. Filled with Mickey Mouse related groceries, there was a photo opportunity inside and outside. A mouse that everyone would welcome in their kitchen.

DJ Ashley Louise James kept the party going until dawn as our guests enjoyed beautiful Italian food, cocktails and Peroni beer, whilst having a selfie with a mouse-ive star!

We are relieved to have finally let the cat out of the bag… or should we say mouse?  To find out more about the limited-edition Mickey Mouse FAB28 fridge, click here.
