SMEG AT THE GOOD DESIGN AWARDS 2014

Smeg scooped 5 of the top prizes at the awards the December.

Good Design Award 2014For the fourth consecutive year, Smeg have been recognized at the annual Good Design Awards.  The awards are given by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, and has been one of the most prestigious awards in the field of design, innovation and aesthetics since 1950. 
To be recognised on a global scale for achievements in innovation and design is a huge honour, and one which Smeg are extremely flattered and grateful to receive. In total, five Smeg products were celebrated, from gas hobs to refrigeration. 

                                       

Smeg where especially pleased that the new range of small appliances were included in the awards, with both the Stand Mixer and Toaster from the collection winning. Created with the architects Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti of Italian design studio, it is not difficult to see why they excelled as beautifully designed appliances.  

As well as this, the timeless style and elegance of the 90cm Victoria range cooker was recognised, with the cooker receiving yet another award on the evening. Adding to a long list of accolades already received, the Good Design award is yet another testament to the TR93's unparalleled design and strong performance.
