What makes the SMEG MultiGrill different?

Unlike a traditional grill, the MultiGrill has been designed to do far more than toast sandwiches or cook meat. With interchangeable cooking plates, dedicated programmes and multiple cooking configurations, it makes it easy to prepare a wide variety of dishes with confidence. The embedded heating elements deliver fast, even heat across the cooking surface, helping ingredients cook consistently from edge to edge. Available in classic cream and black finishes, the MultiGrill combines SMEG's iconic retro-inspired design with everyday practicality. Designed to sit beautifully alongside other appliances in the collection, it brings character and personality to a category often defined by purely functional products.

Three Automatic Programmes for Everyday Favourites

Choose between manual control or 1 of the 3 pre-set programs (Panini, Waffle, Burger) for quick, intuitive cooking tailored to your needs.

Waffles

Create beautifully golden sweet or savoury waffles with a dedicated programme that automatically manages the cooking process.

Panini

Prepare crisp, evenly toasted panini with perfectly warmed fillings for quick lunches and light meals.

Burgers

Cook juicy burgers with confidence using a function designed to deliver even heat and consistent results.

Each programme can be customised by adjusting the cooking time and temperature, allowing you to save your preferred settings for future use.

Three Cooking Modes for Greater Versatility

3 configurations: Contact, Oven, and BBQ, combined with dedicated grill, griddle, and waffle plates, make MGF01 a truly versatile appliance for meals throughout the day.

Contact mode

In Contact Mode, both plates sit directly against the food for fast, even cooking on both sides. Ideal for toasted sandwiches, burgers, vegetables and chicken, it delivers the traditional grilling experience.

Oven mode

Designed for more delicate ingredients, Oven Mode allows the upper plate to sit above the food or lightly touch the surface without pressure. With five adjustable height positions, it is ideal for fish, fillets and other foods that benefit from gentler cooking.

BBQ mode

Open the MultiGrill fully to create a generous cooking surface with double the capacity. Independent temperature controls across both plates allow you to cook different ingredients simultaneously without mixing flavours, making it ideal for family meals and bringing the experience of social, BBQ-style cooking indoors, whatever the weather.

Sear in flavour like a professional

For dishes that deserve a beautifully caramelised finish, the MultiGrill's dedicated Sear function delivers an extra burst of high heat exactly when it's needed. At the touch of a button, the temperature rises to over 250°C for around 30 seconds, helping to create rich colour, distinctive grill marks and a professional-style finish.

Ideal for steaks, burgers and other cuts of meat, the intense heat helps seal the surface while locking in juices, enhancing both texture and flavour. Once the searing cycle is complete, the MultiGrill automatically returns to the original cooking temperature, so you can continue cooking without interruption.

Designed around the way you cook

From breakfast through to dinner, the MultiGrill makes it easy to experiment with new ingredients, recipes and cooking styles.

Easy to customise

Two simple control knobs make it easy to switch between cooking modes, programmes and personalised settings.

Consistent results

Embedded heating elements provide even heat across the cooking plates, helping every dish cook consistently.

Cook more than one thing at once

Independent plate controls allow different ingredients to be cooked simultaneously at their ideal temperatures.

Simple to use, easy to clean

The removable cooking plates feature a PFAS-free non-stick ceramic coating that promotes excellent heat distribution while helping food release easily from the surface. Once cooking is complete, the plates can simply be placed in the dishwasher for straightforward cleaning.
